Frequently asked questions.

Q: Is the scholarship  application confidential? 

A: Yes, we follow all ethical and professional standards when dealing with your health care needs. 

Q: What ages are eligible to participate in therapy with our professionals? 

 A: We see children beginning at age 3.  There is no age limit for adults. 

Q: Do you accept insurance?  

A: Some of our partners do take insurance and the ones who do not, offer a superbill for submission to your insurance company. 

Q: Do you accept medicare or medicaid?  

A: Some of our partners do take medicare and medicaid. 

Q: What if I am already working with a therapist? 

A: That information will be taken in your confidential scholarship application and if approved, that clinician will receive funding for your care. 

Q: What if I have an emergency situation and need immediate care? 

A: In the event that you are facing a mental health crisis that requires immediate assistance, please call 911.  

Q: Do your therapists offer telehealth? 

A: Yes, we offer in-person and telehealth care. 

Q: Do you offer group therapy? 

A: Yes, our therapists will offer group therapy based on the needs of our applicants. 

Q: Do you offer faith-based counseling? 

A: Yes, we do, when it is requested we will pair you with a faith-based therapist. . 

Q: How long does it take for you to respond to my application? 

A: Typically you will have communication regarding your application within 72 hours of submission. 

Q: How many sessions will the mission cover? 

A: This will be determined on a case-by-case basis.  

Q: Can I choose my therapist? 

A: We will recommend a therapist if you do not have an existing one.  If you or the therapist deem that it is not a good fit for you, we will refer you to another therapist. 

Q: What if I have insurance but cannot afford to pay my co-pay? 

A: We will review that information from your scholarship application and make a determination based on that information.

Q: How do I make a tax-deductible donation to your organization?
